“Kindly Revert Back”
Spring 2021
Concept OverviewThis project marks the creation of my first custom A-Z typeface. The font's concept was unexpectedly inspired by a fraudulent job application I was navigating at the time. I noticed the automated scammers repeatedly used the clunky, urgent phrase, "Kindly Revert Back!" in every piece of correspondence. Turning a frustrating experience into a creative outlet, I used the syntax of the scam as the thematic foundation for the typeface, capturing the rigid, robotic, and slightly surreal nature of the interaction through letterforms.
